Volunteer Opportunities

Yuma International Airport proudly offers two volunteer opportunities for members of the community to become involved in. Each opportunity enables our volunteers to engage and offer assistance to airport guests as well as to promote how amazing Yuma is, and our gratitude for their visit. Your time is precious to us and we're happy to work around your schedule!

Military Comfort Center (MCC) Volunteers Yuma International Airport offers a "USO" style facility directly across from TSA screening for active duty/retired military members and their family to relax prior to their travel. MCC volunteers help these special guests get signed in, offer comforting conversation and make cookies and lemonade for them to enjoy.

Airport Ambassadors Yuma International Airport established its ambassador program in an effort to offer courteous, friendly assistance to arriving/departing travelers and airport guests. Airport ambassadors meet and greet passengers and guests and help direct them to appropriate locations, assist travelers with special needs, answer questions, provide information about other businesses located within the airport, and promote Yuma and upcoming events in Yuma.

Applicants must be 18 years of age and have good communication and social skills. Please fill out the application of your choice and email it to andrea@yumaairport.com, or fax it to Andrea at (928) 344-4677. After that, Yuma International Airport's Volunteer Coordinator will contact you to discuss your availability.

Yuma International Airport hosts an annual Volunteer appreciation event each December, in celebration and recognition of our volunteers' dedication.
